The Ellitron Project is the creative vision of composer Thomas Ellwanger. As a self-taught musician, Thomas explores the vast possibilities of sound, weaving together melodies and harmonies that transcend genres and expectations.

This project is more than just music—it’s a journey into imagination, where each composition finds its unique place. Whether inspired by classical elegance, progressive depth, or cinematic soundscapes, Ellitron Project serves as a home for his artistic expression.

I was born in the southern German countryside in 1961, into a family of artists, where creativity was a natural part of life. From an early age, I was surrounded by art, music, and an environment that encouraged exploration and self-expression.

For over 40 years, I worked in the electrical industry, spending most of my time in factorys with all kind of machines. Now that I am retired, I can fully focus on what has always been my true passion -- music.

When Music and Words Emerge Together

Music is a process of discovery for me. I record all the instruments myself, compose, arrange, and mix my music independently. When I started working with an AI voice, I had no clear idea of where it would lead me – but that uncertainty is exactly what inspired me.

For me, the AI voice is not a replacement for a human singer, but rather an instrument – much like a synthesizer that produces sounds impossible to achieve with traditional means. It opens up new creative paths, allowing me to rethink harmonic and melodic structures, and adds a dimension to my music that I hadn’t anticipated.

A crucial aspect is that the AI voice gives me the opportunity, for the first time, to develop my lyrics simultaneously with the composition process. This creates an intimate connection between text and melody as a new song takes shape. The music influences the lyrics, and the lyrics, in turn, influence the music – an interplay that opens up new forms of expression and elevates my creative work to a new level.

My creative process remains deeply personal and individual. The AI is not an autonomous entity, but a tool in my hands that amplifies and shapes my musical ideas. In my music, it isn’t about glorifying technology or replacing human elements; it’s about discovering new modes of expression – precisely what art has always strived to do.

As a self-taught musician and composer, I have always followed my own path, driven by the desire to bring my musical ideas to life. My compositions reflect a wide range of influences, from classical depth to progressive complexity and cinematic soundscapes. The Ellitron Project is my way of giving these ideas a home—a space where music becomes more than just sound, but a journey of emotions and imagination.

Music is my language, my passion, and my way of shaping the intangible into something that resonates with the soul. Welcome to my world.

For the first time, this album will also feature the AI-generated voice of Mai, whose expressive vocals add a new dimension to the music, bringing even more depth and soul to the stories behind the melodies.
